Bocas Del Toro

Bocas Del Toro, Panama

An investment group from NYC had purchased several parcels of resort land in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. Over several years they had spent considerable funds and had not achieved a project that could be financed. The initial concept was to develop 160 condo units. NHC was hired to determine what to do with one of the waterfront sites. NHC brought in HVS International to develop a hotel concept. The study recommended an all inclusive hotel of 135 rooms. NHC recommended OPIC a governmental agency to fund the project. OPIC funds projects in friendly democratic countries where a considerable amount of the product will come from the United States and where the project will improve the lives and abilities of the local people. We put this together and have not as yet completed the financing process. We also engaged a Green Engineering firm from Texas to create a totally green project. The concept as an all inclusive hotel is to sponsor weddings from all over the world at no cost to the bride and groom so long as they bring in 20 rooms for a minimum of 4 nights. People come from far and wide to attend family functions and I am convinced this concept will work in this beautiful Island Resort. Bocas Del Toro lies adjacent to Costa Rico on the East Coast of Panama and on the Atlantic Ocean. There is an airport approximately 5 minutes from the hotel.
