The Quality Inn Airport in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was a REO property. It was held by M&T Bank and two other lenders. Construction was completed in 1976 and the developer walked away. The hotel was not completed on the interior. Kitchen Equipment was installed and remained sealed and protected for 4 years until we brought a purchaser to the table. We were hired to manage the property and complete the design of the interior. We hired American Contract Designers of NYC and a team went to work and had the property opened within 5 months. The Olnick Family Partnership purchased the property. We kept the property for three years and then sold it at a profit for the owners. In 1982, the Hotel and its management team was awarded the coveted “Inn of the Year” Award by Choice Hotels at its annual convention in New Orleans. The hotel was a 16 story 240 room property.
